DAD! Boy I'm sorry.

HIYA!
Although I'm sending this out to you dad, most especially, this is for others as well. I know I haven't had any contact with you in quite a while. I've been really busy the past couple of weeks, and have had little money. I arrived in Korea with next to nothing. Just enough.
I don't yet have a telephone at the apartment, nor do I know where or how to make an international telephone call. I intend to get a telephone connection at the apartment. My employer gave me a phone last night but I don't yet have a hook up or a phone number. I'll call you when I've got one.
Aside from that, well, yesterday was my first day of class. It went well enough but I was surprised at how rambunctious the kids were. I thought the classroom environment wouldn't be much like the classroom at the English camps I've done. But was I ever wrong. Most kids pay very little attention to me or to their studies. I sympathize though because they have such a long hard day of study study study, and practice practice practice. Study this and practice that. The kids are aged from roughly 7 to 17 and so don't know much English at all. There's no real conversation with any of them. I can see how teachers get burned out after a year unless they really really like what they're doing. I had a headache yesterday because I drank so little water all day. So since I had a headache, and there wasn't much learning happening (= class didn't go as I would like) in the classroom, I didn't enjoy the day so well. I've already drank a bunch of water today and so feel good. I'm at the school now using the school computer, have already met and talked with and had some fun with a few of the kids, so I feel today will go well.
Time to go prepare for class. I'll write more when I get a chance. Hopefully, I'll get internet hooked up at the apartment soon.
Troy.
